Cynthia & Brady Donnard

Cynthia and her two rescue dogs have been in the Angel Paws program since 2010. Her interest in a first-rate therapy program stems from her heart for abused animals. Brady, a stunningly handsome red mixed breed was a year old when she adopted him. She later discovered that he had been twice shot and is currently a 4-year cancer surviver.

Cynthia is a graphic designer by trade and relocated to Ohio from Michigan.  Both Cynthia and her husband Richard also volunteer at Angel Paws' annual Santa Paws Pet Portraits with Santa event at Wilson's Garden Center.

Cynthia visits with both Brady & Mattison at Shepherd Hill Behavior Health, a department of Licking Memorial Hospital as well as Eagle Wings Academy and Licking County Library in Angel Paws' R.E.A.D. program.  Team Donnard expect to begin visits to Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation in summer 2013.

Richard & Mattison Donnard, D.O.

Richard and Mattison found each other later in life, but now are best friends. Where Richard is, Mattison is often found cuddled up by him. Richard has a keen interest in helping people and is a Medical Director of Hospice of Central Ohio, and Autumn Health Care.  Both Richard and his wife, Cynthia, also volunteer at our annual Santa Paws Pet Portraits with Santa event at Wilson's Garden Center.

Dr. Donnard's wife Cynthia rescued Mattison from a puppy mill and is a poster pup for how well puppy mill dogs can do when raised with the love they so deserve. Mattison soaks up all the love he can and enthusiastically pays that love forward as a therapy and R.E.A.D. dog along with the Donnards other dog Brady.

Dr. Donnard and Mattison are part of Angel Paws' R.E.A.D. program at Eagle Wings Academy and Licking County Library.  Team Donnard expect to begin visits to Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation in summer 2013.

Rosemary is a Registered Nurse recently retired from her employ at Center for Sight in Newark.  Rosemary grew up in Dayton, Ohio where she met her husband in college.  Rosemary also worked as an R.N. at Homemaker Healthcare in Granville.  Dottie was a bit too much to handle for her previous owners but has flourished with Rosemary and her husband .  Dottie has learned to channel her exuberance and love for life into sharing her love on her therapy visits at Denison University and Shepherd Hill Behavioral Health.  Rosemary and Dottie live in Johnstown Ohio where Dottie gets plenty of exercise on the Grube  farm along with a boxer, a border collie/dalmation mix, a cat, a pony and a flock of sheep!

Rosemary & Dottie joined Angel Paws in 2011, they visit Shepherd Hill Behavior Health, a department of Licking Memorial Hospital as well as Eagle Wings Academy and Licking County Library in Angel Paws' R.E.A.D. program.  The team expects to begin visits to Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation in summer 2013.

THANK YOU  to ALL
our Pet Partners Volunteers
- Past & Present

Sometimes our busy lives and circumstances get in the way of our best intentions to volunteer and so our focus must shift to address other priorities.

Angel Paws is so very grateful to ALL our dedicated volunteers who have helped make Angel Paws what it is today by caring enough to complete all the necessary screening & training requirements to safely and effectively share their pets love with those in need for as long as they were able!

Unfortunately we don't have photos of all of those special Angels, but here are just a few more ...
