ANGEL PAWS' SCHOLARSHIPS
We never want finances to stand in the way of a qualified team!

• Full or Partial Scholarships are available to qualified candidates who are willing to make a commitment to volunteer with Angel Paws. These scholarships may include: Animal Training, Pet Partners Handlers Workshop enrollment fees, 2 year Pet Partners Registration Fees and R.E.A.D. Training & Registration fees.  


• Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of animal aptitude and potential for therapy work, candidate commitment to the process of training and preparation, commitment to on-going responsibilities of maintaining standards of practice, commitment to helping others, and financial need.  All domestic pets are eligible - not just dogs!  Click here for more information on what species are eligible.

• A personal interview will be scheduled for applicants who have submitted all documents listed.

Pet Partners Volunteer Costs Include:

• Dog Training (optional) costs vary from $60. to $300. & up
  
• Handlers Workshop   $60.
  
• Pet Partners Registration $50. with Community Partner discount (others pay $95.)
  
• (Animal Health Screen by Veterinarian)
• (Uniform polo shirt & pet bandana)
• (Visiting Kit complimentary contents provided, cost of various options for carrying vary)

* R.E.A.D. Training & Registration is required in addition to Pet Partners Training & Registration for volunteers interested in the R.E.A.D. program.  R.E.A.D. Scholarships are available to qualified candidates.

Additional R.E.A.D. costs:

•  R.E.A.D. Training Workshop $50.
  
• R.E.A.D. Team Registration $50.

Full Scholarships (*dog training fees vary widely depending on individual need & location of training facility)

• *12 wks (or more) Dog Training, Pet Partners Handlers Workshop & Registration  - $275. (or more)
• Additional R.E.A.D. training & registration - $100.

Partial Scholarships

• Workshop & Registration - $100.
  
• Registration Only - $50.
  
• Additional R.E.A.D. training - $50.
  
• R.E.A.D. Registration - $50.

* Decisions on how and when the applicant receives payment or reimbursement will be made on a case by case basis.  Dog Training & Handler Workshop Scholarship funds may be awarded in the form of a reimbursement to the candidate after the team passes the required Pet Partners Skills & Aptitude Test or prior to training - this will be decided on a case by case basis.
